About six months ago, I saw an Amy Winehouse video called, "Rehab." I was mesmerized. Then, I watched, "You Know I'm No Good." I've played both videos dozens of times. I was amazed by her talent, along with her strange bun of hair on top of her head and cat-like makeup on her eyes. I googled and found out she was dead.

When Hourly History offered a book about this streak through the night, called Amy Winehouse, I wanted to read it. I couldn't believe she got a recording contract at such a young age. Frankly, she seemed mentally ill. The interventions came too little, too late. She became the newest member of the "27 Club" (the artists who died at twenty-seven years of age).

It was strange that nothing was said of her burial or how much she had earned by the time of her death. It is a tragic story.
