This book was just okay I didn't like the way it was written McMurtry needed more research on the subject he was writing about, some things seems to be lacking, and I didn't like how he interjected his opinion in the text with some added humor, it seemed to me there was not really enough info on Custer himself for the book to be named Custer, and he really jumps around in his writings on this subject. I will look for better books on Custer and the Battle of Little Big Horn. The best part of this book is the pictures

This book is poorly organized and rambles around changing subjects even from line to line with no attempt to connect the random thoughts & observations. It's as much about McMurtry as it is about Custer. Not at all recommended if you're interested in learning about Custer.
