Yes the DC should have been scanned at delivery, but sometimes they do get missed.

I  find the same thing as Tonya. Most of mine never get scanned at all!

I had this problem also. I didn't understand that i had to pay an additional fee to have it scanned. I figure if I have a barcode, what goood is it if its not scanned so why would I get it? this really should be included in the dc fees here, and it's not. It's an additional 18 cents I believe. . And I think that is why some of my items were not scanned.

I think you get your credit as soon as you mark the book mailed when you use the quick credit from PBS. Or is it only when you use their postage too?

It's possible the DC was scanned but not uploaded until after then recipient had already marked the book received.  There is a delay between the scan and when PBS gets the information.
