Once I got past all the computer geekese I really enjoyed this book that intertwined ancient Mayan prophies, computer virus', the Millennium, and an extra-terrestial encounter..... plus a little love story.
Very well researched!
"Twenty days before the new millennium, a virus disables the world's computers for 20 seconds. The next day it is for 19 seconds. Obviously, a countdown, but to what? FBI agent Susan Garnett traces the virus to Mayans and aliens in the jungle of Central America." worldcat.org

Susan traces the virus's signal to its point of origin, an area near Tikal, the sight of one of the largest cities of the ancient Maya. Susan and Cameron travel the the remote jungle, convinced that if they fail to solve the riddles, both ancient and new, before the turn of the new millennium, the virus could trigger a powerful event of global proportions.
