With this miracle batter, you won't be able to resist experimenting! Using the same basic ingredients, you can produce a wide variety of cakes that are all guaranteed to succeed. Perfect for people who crave cake that's moist, fruity, chocolatey, or creamy, but don't want to spend a lot of time searching for new recipes.

This cookbook features 50 cakes, half of which have nuts, so if you don't care for them in/on your cakes, don't get it. (A full dozen of the recipes call for hazelnuts, or ground hazelnuts.) A couple of the recipes are poorly edited ("peel bananas" when there is only one banana in the ingredient list.) And there were a couple of ingredients I'm not sure I could find at my local grocery (banana puree, semisweet chocolate couverture.) Overall, I'm disappointed.
