Good read, although I'm not as pleased with this series as I am with the one starting with 1632.
Author does his homework, though. Has spun a completely believable tale of British rule continuing in the USA.

I hate to admit that I don't know this era of American History very well. It didn't take me long to pick out the big things that changed. It was neat to learn at the end what one thing was changed historically to build the story on. It was very interesting and I had trouble putting it down. Don't worry, the Americans still win the battle of New Orleans.

Well written book! Definitely not for the squeamish, nor flaming Anglophobes who believe that the American Revolution was really caused by the American colonists "offenses" to King George!
