I requested a Large Print book but got a regular print instead. When I requested it, it said it was Large Print, but it wasn't when I recieved it. It was a request for my Mother who needs to read the Large Print books so I was a little upset. I clicked on the recieved with a problem button and then PMed the sender and told her what the problem was. I also asked if she actually has the Large Print version and if not to refund my credit and I would send the book back or if she did and it was a mistake, that I would send it back and she could send me the correct one. I'm still waiting for a responce. I hope I did the right thing.

You are not required to send the book back unless the original sender gives you a second credit to cover postage. Other than that you were very professional and polite and in compliance with PBS rules.

You did great Tina. And shame on the other member. This is the worst scenario of lazy posting. It reminds of the losers that park in handi-capped parking spaces because they are just running in to get one thing. I hope they answer you soon and it is to your satisfaction. And if you do not get a response within a weeks, please do as the Help Center suggests and send in Feedback. Not comunicating with you in response to your PM is a real no-no here.

Thank you! I will make sure to do that if she does not get back to me. Thanks for the help!

I think you did fine- but I would second saying that in general I would never bring up returning the book to the sender.  If they really want it back, let them bring it up.  I think it confuses the situation and brings up lots of complications.  If you have another problem transaction (lets hope not but they do happen!) I would suggest that you explain the problem and then ask for your credit to be returned and leave it at that.  If the person then asks for the book to be returned you can refer them to the help docs and explain that they need to send you two credits for you to do that.  Returning makes for extra work for you and extra hassle, and if they made the mistake in the first place then you shouldn't have to worry about that.  You aren't obligated to return it even if they want to send you two credits, though it's nice if you do.

BTW, before contacting PBS about someone never responding, always check your credit registry.  Sometimes conflict avoiders will quietly return your credit but never answer your PM with an apology/response!

Happy trading!

Sara

Thanks for all the help! She returned the credit and did not tell me to return the book. Thanks again!
