Try looking at this month's newsletter under your club communications.

I got my march one earlier this week.  This is what it said about the contest:

Well, we have a way for you to celebrate March, no feet OR peanuts involved: it's time for another Contest!  Yes, the 2,000,000-book Milestone Contest is here!  We are giving away huge prizes, and allowing for more winners than ever. The way it works: Each member gets one guess at the precise minute that the PBS library contains two million available books.  Yes, that means when the two-millionth available book is posted.  Remember that the counter at the top of the site records books as they are posted--as they are requested (or put on hold), the number may fall again.  But when the book is posted that puts the number of available books over 2 million, that is the winning time!  You can submit guesses here beginning Monday March 10, 2008 at 12 NOON ET, and you have until the counter at the top of the site shows 1,995,000 books to submit your guess.  We will announce the winners on the contest page when the results have been tabulated.   For rules and prize descriptions, please see the Contest Page on the site. Good luck to everyone!

I question if they aren't going to have to extend the entry time...it doesn't start until Monday, March 10 noon and you have until the book count reaches 1,995,000 and my computer is showing the book count right now is 1,994,226 I know that things can flucuate but, that will be a very short window of opportunity.

Looks like someone miscalculated how long it was going to take to get there...we could easily hit that point within the next week. Does anybody know approximately how many books are getting posted per day?

Bren, look under Community--Pulse of PBS--it tells you how many have been posted in the last hour.

They announced it in the march newsletter. for those of you who did not get it maybe you need to add PBS to your address book. The email could be going to your spam/bulk mail. I've been having problems with yahoo. They want to mark everything spam except obvious spam. They have even sent their own mailings to the spam folder lol
