I would like to post some books without pictures.  I just uploaded some bookcover pictures in the hopes that in a few days the covers will be in the system and I will have accompanying pictures when I upload the actual books onto my bookshelf.  Is this an okay way to go about doing this or will the fact that the book is not yet in the system make my uploading the cover picture futile?  If what I just asked doesn't make sense, let me know.

Also, previously I uploaded pictures that weren't of the best quality.  (I learned the secret of using a scanner rather than my camera.)  Is there a way for me to re-submit better pictures or are they stuck there?

Thank you so much for your assistance!!!

You can upload book covers at any time, before or after you post the books.

Yes, you are able to submit a better quality cover. I've done it a few times.

Book cover editors prefer that you use the Upload Book Covers link at the bottom of most all pages.

If you go to the Edit Book Data link at the bottom of every PBS page.....there will be a box for you to tell what you want to edit and a place further down the page to upload the new cover image.

I always use my scanner to do book cover images.  Works fabulously!

If the book is not in the system, then I don't think you can upload a pic because you need to put in the ISBN that the pic is going to. If its not there yet, the system won't recognize it as a valid book to receive a cover. eta: if you just mean no copies are available in the system, but the book is in the system's database, then you will be fine uploading them before posting them.

For resubmitting a better quality pic, as long as there is not picture in que (its been either accepted or rejected), a new one should be able to be submitted.
