I saw the exercise thread and I thought that those who are doing weight watchers can post here for 2011!

I start WW on Wednesday and every week I will post how much I lost (or gained).  I think it would be great with others joined!  We can share tips and help motivate each other!

How's it going? I started back mid-December and did well until Jan1! lots of stress in my life right now - even more than usual - but I'm trying to get a grip best I can. I just started exercising again - pulled out a couple of my Leslie Sansone dvds and pulled out my wii and got new 'goodies' for it and right now I'm addicted to Walk it Out! I also the few activities I've tried on Wii fit plus - hula hoop, rhythm parade, obstacle course, basic run(short).

I found the weeks I was successful with WW that having fruit handy helped a lot and using the fruit along with a meal seemed to keep things balanced better. I would usually add a veggie to most meals though mexican seems to throw me a lot with adding a veggie other than avocado and pico de gallo. I like to count beans and corn as starches (along with potatoes).

good luck - this points plus program seems to make things more balanced - the previous pts system bananas were a huge drain on points (now they're free!) and I know I often chose a 2 pt bar over a banana but now I love adding a banana or two during the day.

It's going well I forgot to post my weigh in on Wednesday.

I lost 4.2 pounds.  I've been eating a lot more fruits and veggies.  I have at least 1 apple and 1 banana a day.  I've been working out a lot more at my gym also.

Is this strictly for weight watchers followers or dieters in general who are watching their weight? I hope that wasn't a dumb questio:). I read an article on yahoo.com earlier today about people who attributed much of their weight loss success to writing a blog about their journey. I was looking for a forum on here to publicly talk about weight loss goals, successes and struggles. I found the exercise forum but wanted something dealing with the actual weight loss.

You came to the right spot!  I feel like keeping track of what I am doing is really helping me.  I learn to see what works and what doesn't work.

Great! It's already helped me in the exercise forum. I made myself exercise tonight just so I could post! I hope this will help me too.

I was up a couple of pounds but spent a couple of weeks off plan to it was expected. I've pulled out my wii and gotten into Walk It Out and bought some other exercise related games but mostly do walk it out. also been wlking the dogs some on longer walks like 20-30 min.

I'm hoping weigh in next week will reflect my being on plan this week.

Welcome Kobi,

I'm not doing Weight Watchers but am watching my weight. My blood pressure got out of sorts and I'm trying to get it down with weight loss and exercise.  I'm setting small goals which seems more manageable and less overwhelming for me. In the last year, I have lost about 30 pounds. My current goal is to lose 10 more pounds before I go back to the dr. at the end of March. Good luck to you.

Stay on me girls - I need to lose 5 pounds this month and so far not so good. We have had 6 birthdays in my family (including mine) in the last 3 weeks and I'm lucky to have maintained but I need to get back to the grind. Any ideas for a jump start?

Be sure to drink your water!

Sometimes when you think you are hungry you are really thirsty/needing water. I find if I fill my mouth with water when I drink it I have to swallow it or find a place to spit it out and guess what I end up swallowing it. Sorry to sound gross there but, it works for me. Lemon in your water is a great way to add flavor. And it has it's own health benefits too.

I really am pulling for all of you.

If you are a tv watcher when the commercials are on get up and walk around or do some stretches. (The more you move the more energy you are using, more energy you use, the more calories you burn.)

Best to all of you. Lynn
