I meant to post this thread yesterday but...better late than never, right?

I'm actually not even sure where I am in the challenge but I believe I am only one or two books away from finishing each of the bonuses and I only have three or four books remaining for the main challenge.  It has been such a hot June that I have had a hard time sitting in my sweltering house long enough to read more than a few pages.  Ugh.  Now that the days are getting shorter (ever the optimist!), I'm hoping for some cool evenings to enjoy more books.

How are you all doing?

I've finished round one of the challenge, finished round two and have round three going.  Love the challenge because I'm cleaning up my TBR!  For the third round I'm not using the current prize winners, I'm using the prize winners I have already on my shelf.  One of them was the 2009 winner.

I guess I sort of forgot about this once I finished.  Not going to deliberately try to do it a 2nd time...but guess I could go back and see if I've read anything that might fit the categories!

I'm reading my last of the main challenge right - Going Native - The Mystery of Swordfish Reef, by Arthur Upfield.  It is really good and a little different from the other Upfields I have read since it is set on the coast.  I also have two road trip challenge books to read and then I'm calling myself done.  smiley

I need to read:  3 more for the Regular part of the challenge.  Bonus #1, need to read 2 more.  Bonus #2, need to read all 6.

I have to check out the books I've been reading lately to see if they fit the Bonus #2 section.  I might be further along than I think. :)

I wasn't deliberately doing the challenge the second and now the third time.  I'm just finding books on my TBR that fit.  I pushed the envelope on the gem in the title with Gem of a Ghost.  angel  And now if I read a book I have that was an award winner, no matter the year I'm adding it.  Only because I did complete the challenge and doing this give me a direction in taking books off my TBR.  I have a personal challenge of reading books in alphabetical order if I don't set a goal like that I keep skipping over some areas of my booksshelves.

Alice I'mgoing to get a Joanne Carl later this year (not out yet in paperback) The Chocolate Castle Clue if you want to wait.  I really enjoyed Goodnight,Irene by Jan Burke anAgatha winner and Once a Spy by Keith Thompson was the Dilly winner.  That hadsomelaugh out loud parts as well asbeing a bit of a spy, mystery and a little thriller.

I have finished everything except the alliteration book. I have one on my WL but it will probably take a bit. You know how WLs can be! FYI: I have begun pulmonary rehab therapy, and I seem to be slowly progressing. MD and I holding off on Denver until we "see." Thanks to all who have PMed with best wishes.    M'ann

Finished with the regular challenge, but I still need one more regional and one more award winner for the bonuses!

I have 7 out of the regular challenge finished. I have not been very focused on the challenges and got caught up in some other books. I hope to read the five remaining books over the next few weeks, since I dont have much going on. But no promises, lol. I am a bit spontanious when I read and even when I attempt to follow a plan, I never do. blush

I've been finished for a while.  This was a wonderful challenge.  I found a number of really good new to me authors-Colin Cotterill, Jussi Adler-Olsen, Jason Goodwin, Carol O'Connell, Shamini Flint,  and Owen Parry.  Since I'm involved in so many other challenges, I won't do another round this year but will definately sign up for next year.
