Hello everyone! Just peeked in here, hoping to see a post from Joy. I will put in my picks later using my home computer - this Ipad doesn't cut and paste right for me.

Hello everyone! Go figure game delay for the Broncos/Ravens. Is it gonna b that kind of season?! Bettyjean not to worry about the messages.

ETA: Oh forgot to mention I have Peyton Manning on my fantasy league! Yeah buddy :)

What Cyn said about the messages, Bettyjean - you're here now and that is the important thing!

What a game last night!   I didn't watch all of it as I kept switching back and forth between the Red Sox/Yankees game, but what I saw was good, once it got started.  :)    7 touchdowns by Peyton Manning - pretty amazing.  I have to say that one of the best plays for me was seeing Wes Welker drop the kick-off that then resulted in a Ravens touchdown.  (evil laugh)

Congrats on your teams wins, ladies. Sorry Alex. I gotta a bad feeling I will be joining you on a team opening day loss. Keeping my fingers crossed though. Kick-off time now! So glad football is back!

------------ Added after game - Ugh, that was brutal.  I can't believe how badly we played. And I got even madder when the camera showed Gov. Christie, (MY governer) sitting next to Jerry.  What a traitor he is.

We may have won the game, but only by the skin of their teeth.  I have to tell you Alex, I was wicked impressed with your new QB and the play of the team.  This game could have gone either way for sure.  Congrats, Cyn!  Great game.  Bettyjean, I don't know what to say, just a rotten game for the Giants.  Hopefully this will be the worst of the year and now they've got it out of their system.

San Francisco seems to be starting where they left off last year.  Looked like a team on a mission.

I was dreading what Carrie Underwood would do to the "Sunday Night Football" theme as I really liked Faith Hill's version, but I must say it wasn't too bad.

Sorry for ur team loss Bettyjean:( Intense game for sure.

Yes I agree Joy about SF starting where they left off last year & on a mission:)

I like Carrie Underwood. I was lucky to see her exhibit at The Country Music Hall of Fame this year & can't believe how petite she is.

Thanks for the company Bettyjean.  We should start a Week 1 Loss support group, it can only go up from here right?

Joy, The most important part of our game was that it was entertaining.  Just the unfortunate part that it came at the expense of the Bills losing the game. I expected a loss to the Patriots but why did the Bills have to have a lead going into the 4th quarter only to lose the game.  This emotional roller coaster is getting harder to handle as the years go on.

Alex - I agree.  But, I don't know about getting better from here for my Giants this week.  Next game is the Manning Bowl and I don't think Eli can perform enough miracles to beat his big brother.  They met once before and we lost.

Was I the only one shocked with the Eagles/Washington game?  And how about that bizarre Jets finale?  I went to bed last night thinking the Chargers pulled this big upset and was surprised to see that Houston managed to come back & win.  Wish it wasn't on so late, it must have been a great game.

Cynthia - I finally got up the nerve to join a fantasy league & picked Peyton as my QB too.  I kind of messed up when drafting because my Ipad wouldn't let me see all the players unless I searched for them.  I ended up with a couple of players I didnt really want because my time was running out.  But at least I'll learn how to do it right for next season.

Anyone who does a fantasy football team has my complete admiration.  I might be able to do a baseball one, but I just don't know enough about the different players to pursue the football.   :)

Congrats Bettyjean on getting Peyton Manning & joining a fantasy league. It's really all about having fun & seeing how ur players do for the week. U can drop the players u got for someone else. Just try to do ur search on Monday if possible before the best of what's left get picked up. Good luck!

Joy thx for the admiration on playing fantasy football:)
