Didn't see a list so...

Happy New Year everyone!  I began my year with a good read, thank God.   Courtney Milan's The Governess Affair.

Happy New Year!!! I finished off 2013 with Sherry Thomas's The Luckiest Lady In London and it was a wonderful, complicated awesome read. I started 2014 with finishing NTM Grace Draven's Entreat Me. A beautiful, lush story of Beauty and The Beast. I thank all my friends for the recommnend on that one. I was up to 3:30 this morning because I couldn't put it down. Not sure what I am going to read next, Jill Sorenson's Badlands (sexy, young ex con Owen's book) is out, as well as Molly Harper's How To Run With a Naked Werewolf....decisions!!! I might go off in left field completely and read Larry Correia's Dead Six or Allison Brennan/Laura Griffith's Crash and Burn.

Happy New Year!  I finished Perfect Fling by Carly Phillips yesterday, it was okay.  I think I'm completely burned out on the small town series now.  Today I DNF'ed Stephanie McAfee's Happily Ever Madder.  The first book in the series was hilarious, but this one was kind of painful.  My goal is to clear 3 books off my TBR every week this year, so I'm counting that as 2 down, one to go!

Happy 2014, ladies!

I ended the year and started a new one in the midst of M. Leighton's Bad Boys series, wrapping things up with Everything for Us.

I just read a Sherry Thomas also - one I picked up several years ago - Not Quite a Husband.   I needed a book set in India, so this one floated to the top of the TBR.    I've never read anything by Sherry Thomas before, and I remember that I got this one because so many of my fellow romance readers were raving about it.

It's definitely not your average historical romance.  Just like the book that Keri read, it was complicated.   The hero and heroine were a mathematician and a doctor.   At first I didn't get the hype, but a ways into the story I began to feel the (mostly supressed) passion and it seemed like a pretty realistic potrayal of a couple with issues to deal with.   I loved the prologue at the end.

And I wrapped up the year with a Christmas novella - Intrigue & Ivy by Lauren Willig, a novella in the Pink Carnation series (one of my favorite series!).

Happy New Year!

Ive read several books the last couple of weeks, but the best ones were Against the Ropes by Sarah Castille and True: 11(New Species) by Laurann Dohner.  Against the Ropes was great, it was just what I needed after reading Tears of Tess (another great read). It was sexy and absolutely hilarious.

I'm not sure what's next, I have too many to choose from. Btw, I finished out 2013 with 224. Books read.

Rebecca, we were very close...I read 223 in 2013!  That was the third year in a row that I kept count, but I dont think I'm going to count anymore. I just wanted to get a decent average of what I usually read in a year.

So I finally decided what book I was going to start the new year with...The Denim Dom by Tymber Dalton.

Melissa be sure to let us know if Denim Dom is any good- I started it a whle back but got sidetracked with something else (and kinda burned out on doms...)then forgot about it til your post!

reading vicki lewis thompsons' lastest Blaze - good sex but not wild about the storyline(ain't one...) and just started another ebook on my kindle that's supposed tob e christian but has 3 young women health nuts starting up an organic farm/farmer's market or something....not wild about the writing so far but I do kinda like reading about the nutrition since I'd like to eat healthier myselff...so will stick with it for a while and see how it goes.

Melissa, I kind of like keeping track of books I've read because sometimes I can't remember if I read a book or not. I seriously can't remember sometimes. Maybe I need a small summary too. :)

I settled on Quintessentally Q by Pepper Winters.

I'm going to start this one  Real  by Katy Evans.  Got this book at target and it has a bonus chapter in it. The version that was listed here (real) on PBS does not and I was having a hard time getting the isbn listed.

Just thought I'd let everyone one know about it and also incase someone wants to add it to their WL, and I can post it to someone when I'm done.

Finished Maya Rodale's short The Bad Boy Billionaire's Wicked Arrangement, it mirrors her new wallflower series, but in a modern format. It was cute, but not in love with the serialized format. *sigh* Currently started Molly Harper's How to Run with a Naked Werewolf and I really like Caleb, but so far it has been really low key for MH, but still good. Also finished Anne Stuart's Black Ice and it was good, but man it could have used an epi.

Keri the characters in Black Ice show up in the next books in that series- not a whole lot but you see them here and there.

hey are any of you on here also in another forum elsewhere? I've been debating leaving pbs - not wild about 'the team' and all the drama in CMT but would miss chatting and reading about romance with y'all here. yes I know I could just avoid the CMT forum but I'm not wild about supporting this site and some of the security stuff.

Susannah, I actually belong to a Kristin Ashley "secret" group on Facebook where we do talk about other books as well. I only come back to this thread on PBS because I like it and I've gotten some really good book recs here. There are a lot of really good authors I wouldn't have known about if it hadn't been for this group.

Susanna I'm on BookLikes which is sort of a blog/booklovers site.  They have groups like these here.

The Denim Dom was great. I do wish I remembered more about Tony from The Reluctant Dom, though. I'll have to re-read that one one of these days. I just couldnt bring myself to do it right now. LOL

I adore The Reluctant Dom.  So emotional and I cried so hard.

Susanna, you have to take the "drama" on CMT with a grain of salt.  I swear, there are some over there that just like to stir up drama and then cry when it comes back around to bite them.  I don't venture over there much anymore.

I'm reading Colters' Gift by Maya Banks right now.  Have to read it and finish off that series.
