Just finished - Ghost a la Mode (Ghost of Granny Apples, Bk 1) :: Sue Ann Jaffarian

Absolutely enjoyed this one and the surprise at the end brought a tear to my eye, happy tear that is.  I have forgotten how much better the older cozies are written.   This one was fun and funny with a little tiny bit of scary, great characters, full of surprises all the way to the last page.  So glad there are more in this series, really looking forward to diving into the next one, after I tackle my current TBR.

I grabbed it on kindle.

Here's one I just finished: Witch Slapped (Witchless in Seattle, Bk 1) by Dakota Cassidy.

It was my first book by Dakota Cassidy, but it won't be my last. This was really fun! The heroine had a lot of spunk, the dialogue was witty, and her sidekick Belfry was adorable. I'm really looking forward to seeing where the author takes this series. I found the whole series in audiobook on Hoopla (through my public library.) Glad I saw this one in the paranormal forum.

Finished Get Witch or Die Trying (Spies and Spells, Bk 3): Tonya Kappes

I really enjoyed this series had so much fun with the first two I had to go ahead and order #3 cause I just wanted more.  Wonder if there will be a #4.  Light, laugh out loud, silly, all around magical fun.  Really like the last minute twists on the who dunit.   Only complaint I have is a minimal amount of editing issues, a few misused or misplaced words and the final chapter started in the middle of the page of the chapter prior sort of thru me off balance, as it was a bit strange.  Highly Recommend!

I finished reading Death and The Redheaded Woman today (Auction Block, Bk 1) by Loretta Ross

It was a different type cozy, little more steamy in a few parts.  Interesting as it was set in Missouri, even mentioned Sedalia and Warrensburg of which the town we lived in set between these two towns......we went to one or the other for shopping.

I really enjoyed that one to Lynn but wasn't sure if it fits in the cozy category, due to the steamy parts.

If your an Eva Gates fan, her library lighthouse series was originally cancelled. It's been picked back up though by a different publisher and will continue!

I really liked these books so I am thrilled the series was saved!

I've read Death and The Red-Headed Woman and would consider it a cozy.  It was pretty tame compared to some of the scenes in the one book I read of the Ghost-in law series (Trouble in Mudbug) by Jana DeLeon which is considered a cozy. Read the first book of it and decided no more for me.
