Just finished The Last Midwife: Sandra Dallas used it for the Healer catergory not sure it if quite fits but close enough I think.

Great read so hard to put it down.  Wow the secrets that a Midwife gleans.  What a heavy load to carry, takes a special person to keep it all to herself.  Many twists and turns several mysteries uncovered throughout the story right down to the very last sentence.  Hope next Historical I read is as great a journey as this was.  I almost want to pick it up and start it all over again.

Finished The Magdalen Girls: V.S. Alexander

Infuriatingly, frustratingly, heartbreaking.  Started out a bit slow but picked up the pace to a can't put it down frenzy.  But the slow pace really accentuates the story.
