96 pages, 50 ideas. Each idea is either one or two pages. Very straightforward, most are simple. I liked how specific they are about what does and also WHAT DOESN'T work on saving water in toilet flush tanks. Lawns, gasolines, paper, plastic... some of the things surprised me - things I thought important don't help much, and other things help a lot!
This book gives you all sorts of ideas you've never considered before about recycling to save the earth. It is an easy read and very informative. Some of the cooles things to consider are: If all of us decided to recycle our SUnday papers, we could save 500,000 trees in a week, and a super important fact that we can utilize right now to save precious gas: "If every commuter car carried just one more passenger, we'd save 600,000 gallons of gasoline and keep 12 million pounds of greenhouse gases out of the atmosphere every day!!!" There are 48 more facts just like these to help you save our mother earth.

A great book to make you feel empowered instead of just gloomy about the state of affairs in the world. Easy to read and comprehend, this is my favorite gift for the young eco-friendly person. With great bites of information such as: "If every American family planted just one tree, over a billion pounds of " greenhouse gasses" would be removed from the atmosphere every year". Pretty nifty!
A somewhat dated, but still useful book on practical, everyday things normal people can do. It has information about why a particular thing is "bad" and how you can change it. It would be very helpful to young children, or as part of an Earth Day celebration.
