Can anyone make me a deal on the book Shiloh. Somehow about 6 of my books ran away from home and Im promised my kiddos we would start reading it this month. I spend so much now on my class, I think its getting close to my mortgage payment!

If you can help, I would be grateful and so will my students.

Lorene

PS- I know they only want to read it because we also have the movie, but occasionally I like to indulge them. Helps them endure the torture I deal out the rest of the time.

I'll do a 2 for 1 if you order any other book, I'll send Shiloh.

If I had a copy of Shiloh, I would send it for free. Unfortunately, I don't.

Even if they want to read it because the school has a copy of the video, hey, they are reading!

Samantha, I agree. It's my class copy. We always buy movies that are from children's books just as an incentive for them to read. They are also learning that books are always better than the movie. I never thought I would see 5th grade boys ticked off because the movie Ella Enchanted was different from the book. I couldnt believe they would agree to read it either but they decided to be fair to the girls!

Lorene,

I have an all male, eighth grade special ed homeroom.  You would be amazed at the books they ask me to read to them.  One time, there was a class disagreement on if I should read them The Magic Treehouse or Ann Frank!  They also BEGGED me to read because of Winn Dixie, which in my heart, has always been an elementary girl book.

I have the book on tape of Ella Enchanted. Is it any good? I got it for free!

Samantha, the book on tape is fabulouse. The reader is excellent and does a fantastic job of varying the voices. Im convinced that is one of the reasons my boys liked it so much! I highly recommend letting them read it.

I think I saw this one via Scholastic for .95 recently but I'd have to ck

If you don't have an account, I'd be glad to order them and have them sent to you ...if this would help :)

BTW...the book on tape is wonderful (great for saving your voice too LOL)  We listened to this and the next two Shiloh books while waiting at the airport for a family member.  It made a 5 hour wait quite enjoyable.

Blessings

Stephanie
