I really do like this series but Carlotta is just one of those women that drive me nuts. She has three men panting after her - Peter Ashford (her rich fiance who dumped her when her father got caught embezzling funds and who is now back ten years later and begging for her love. WTH?), Jack Terry (the cop who wants sex more than a relationship but who is jealous of Carlotta's other men) and Cooper Craft (the ex-coroner who is hot and is in love with her). For her own protection, Carlotta is living with Peter. Obsessing over Jack and trying to prove that Cooper is not The Charmed Killer (since he was arrested as such). Her love life is almost as screwed up as her brother Wesley's life - drugs, gambling, loan sharks and let's not forget his probation officer).

That being said, I enjoyed this installment and really wish there was another one in the works. According to Ms. Bond's website, another two books should be published in 2011-2012. There are lots of loose ends that need to be tied up before the series can be over. Well so much for 2011 so here's hoping that Carlotta finally makes up her mind and picks the correct man and not just the rich one cuz he's an ass.

loved it! Loved the entire series. It wraps up nice...and leaves the possibility of more books to the series.
