I was hesitant about this book in the beginning because there was a "teenage mentality" in the main character and her friends, but it really became a page-turner very quickly. It is intensely scary in places, and a very cleverly woven tale in the end. Unique and I daresay maybe quite brilliant.

I do not say this lightly: this book had one of the most terrifying scenes in it that I've ever read. It's not a bad story, and in fact it's very well written, but is very, very scary. This is not one to read at bedtime!
