All in all, this is a pretty good story. Even tho it is a work of fiction, it does show what could happen along the Mississippi River valley, in the event of a major earthquake. It has the usual political (intrigue?) cover up of previous advance warning signs of a pending earthquake, like politicians, ignoring what the experts have been telling them all along, refusing to cooperate.

This is a good book overall with some typical and predictable mystery and romance. I did not believe the ending but I am a skeptic of such things. I did learn some things about earthquakes and earthquake science.
