(copied from librarything)

9 paranormal books in 9 different categories, all read in 2009. For an added challenge, try completing your books by 9/9/09! This group is to help you track your progress on the Paranormal 999 challenge

You choose your own catagories .... but you must have 9 catagories and they must be paranormal....some examples are:

Vampires
Werewolves
Ghost
Witches
Wizards
Demons

Just post here and let us know how you're doing and the books you choose for the catagories!

I think I want to try this, anyone else? I don't do library thing so I figured we can have a post to keep track of it here. Here are the categories I will be doing

I'm going to give this a go next year as well, but have my doubts that I will be able to make it. The thing for me is my book buying habit has been significantly impacted by my household's present economy. In past years, I could, and did, buy at will, this would have been a sure win. Now, I have to really budget, and book buying, sadly, is an expendable luxury (it's even harder to find paranormals at our local library, which never had a large selection to begin with, but now seems to have an even poorer selection). If I am able accomplish this goal, this will be a really telling and wonderful sign that things are getting better for us financially.

I am not buying many books either.  the library and here are my big sources.  Hubby did tell me if things don't pick up at work I may have to decrease my mailing budget though.

I never know what I am going to read until I get into it.  I need to go through my books and see what I have, but I don't have many in my tbr pile, maybe 20 or so.  I will just have to see what I pick up and along about June see what I need to search for more books on.

You don't have to do gods and goddesses, you can pick your own categories.
