This is great guide book especially for families just starting or interested in homeschooling. The major topics (chapters) covered are: Today's Home Schooler, Just the Facts, What Credentials Do I Need?, Getting Started, What about Socialization?, Is it too Late?, But I hate math, One Room Schoolhouse, Keeping Score, Avoiding Geekdom, Overcoming Income Issues, Salvaging Intellect, Burn-Out Blues, Fear of Failure, State Regulations and Support Groups. It also includes an extensive list of resources (though some may be slightly outdated because it was published in 1994.)
