Sunday, Jan 24

  • New England @ Denver - Den (Sorry Joy.  However, Brady is better than Manning.)
  • Arizona @ Carolina- This is a toss up going with Carolina.  East coast is the best coast.

It was a good game.  Denver's defense was awesome.  Unfortunately.

Ah well, only 25 days until Red Sox pitchers and catchers report for spring training.  :)

Go Carolina!

Sorry for your team loss, Joy. But for fans, that was an exciting game to watch & you know that with Brady as your QB, you'll probably back in the same position again next year.  At least your Pats put up a fight and kept it very, very close.... Unlike that terrible beatdown the Cardinals got.  That game was brutal to watch. I would have shut it off, but I wanted to watch the new X-files that came on immediately after.

the superbowl. 2 weeks minus one day and counting. Carolina is favored now but Denver's defense can't be counted out. Wade Phillips knows what he is doing.

Yes, at first thought Carolina should be the favorite, but then I think of Denver's defense and wonder if they are the team that can contain Cam Newton.  He is fun to watch, for sure.

One thing I have noticed with Carolina which is really cool, and doesn't have a thing to do with how they play, is that after a touch down, the player gives the football to a child in the stands.

the thing with the kids and the football was started by Cam. When it began to be noticed in the media the rest of the players joined in. They say now that a lot of little kids are always positioned at the rails behind the end zones just in case. It is neat to see how excited the little kids get if they get lucky.

I have to agree with everything said here.  First thought Carolina was a slam-dunk, but that D of Denver is brutal.  Wade Philips has done a tremendous job.  I also remember that Panthers managed to lose their perfect season to the Falcons.  Any given Sunday.

Wade Phillips used to be the Bills head coach (Sad Trombone), the last time the Bills made it to the playoffs in 1999.  I wish him much success.
