Hi everyone!

Someone just PM'd me to remind me of the 1 post per person per day rule in Book Bazaar.

I wasn't aware of the rule...so of course, instead of just making two or three posts, I had to go all out and make EIGHT posts!!  YIKES!!!

Please accept my apologies.  I will try to delete all but my first post right now.

Thanks for understanding!

Amy

Amy,

You're kind of new to the site, don't worry about it...live & learn, now you know :)

I tinnk that rule doesn't exist, so don't apologize.  You're not supposed to "bump" your own thread more than once a day, but I never heard that you can't make more than one post per day in the forums----This one is my fourth, so I'm a sinner, too, if there is such a "rule."

LOL... Been there and done that.  I went banana too when I first discovered the Book Bazaar.  I was rather red-faced as well.  Don't feel like the Lone Ranger :  )

I'm new too - and I don't know this stuff.  Are they saying you shouldn't post an answer back to someone's question or you shouldn't post a new topic out there -I did 2 today :(.  Please let me in on what you know.

Here's the actual rule.

(1) Members should post only one "bookshelf advertisement/"order from me"/"deal" post per day. You can combine different genres into one post, or "spotlight" multiple books from your bookshelf in one topic.

In the bazaar, you can only post 1 new deal thread per day. It gives everyone a chance to post.

Sounds like at least a couple of folks are unclear about the rules for the bazaar.  Of course, I could have saved myself some headaches if I had read the rules thoroughly BEFORE MAKING SEVERAL POSTS WITHIN SEVERAL MINUTES OF EACH OTHER, but I sure learned my lesson. Here are the rules relating to  "one advertisement post per day":

General Rules in the Book Bazaar:

(1) Members should post only one "bookshelf advertisement/"order from me"/"deal" post per day. You can combine different genres into one post, or "spotlight" multiple books from your bookshelf in one topic.

(2) Members may "bump" their topics a maximum of once a day (bumping = posting a new post in a topic for the purpose of keeping the topic on the front page of the forum topic list). Adding a new post with new information is not considered bumping. If you edit your original post to update information there, this will not "bump" the topic.

Hi Amyjo,

Check out the red post at the top of the Book Bazaar  "BOOK BAZAAR TOUR -HOW TO USE THIS FORUM"

Scroll down to the general rules section.  Don't worry we've all done something on here at least once. :)

Winston, as you can see from those posting the rule, it does exist. And it has been verified and clarified with PBS by the Tour Guides on several different occasions. I thought you'd been here long enough to have seen some of the discussions on it. Oh, well, as they say "Now you know!" :)

I sure am glad I read this.  I am also guilty as charged.  Thank you all, now I know too!

Perhaps Winston is confusing "posts" with "posting new threads".  Members can post replies on others' threads until the cows come home, but may start only one thread per day on each forum.  Members here are pretty forgiving for newbies' errors, Amyjo!

So how long are we considered "newbies?" I have been a member since '06 and I am still learning and still apologizing and still asking 'dumb' questions!!

I just discovered the Book Bazaar maybe three weeks ago and today a member PM'd me to tell me what 'Bump' meant. Am I the only one who is slow around here?? LOL
