Okay, so I just got a request from an APO, and I've never sent a book out to an APO/FPO or similar. I'd like to send the book, but I'd like to use PBS DC if I can. I've read that the books sent to APO's usually get declared "lost" by PBS well before they arrive. Since I have to go to the post office for the customs form and the postage, is using DC okay? I've done it domestically when I had to go to the PO for postage, and I think this would be similar, but... Anyone done it?

Also, along the same vein, can you send an APO/FPO book with PBS printable postage?

Thanks!

I sent one with PBS DC only so that I could take it to the counter to pay and get help with the APO stuff, they're much more willing to help when its being paid for there and it also got scanned immediately instead of hoping it went through a sorting place.  It took less than a minute over what I normally do and my book was to its destination in around 14 days.
