Hello....

I have an ARC of a book and I just want to get it off my book case as I have FAR too many books.  :-)  Anywhoo...I know I can't post an ARC but I just looked up the book and saw that five people want it.  Is there some way I could just give this book to them?  I don't want any credits for the book or anything.  I just hate to see a perfectly good book get tossed.  I mean thats like a mortal sin or something isn't it?!?!?  Can I just offer it in the book bazarr or something?  I just don't want to get in trouble for giving away this ARC.

Thanks for all your help!

Tonia

Yup, you can give it as a freebie any way you want to -- plain flat out free, free with something else from your shelf, etc.  You can make a post in the Bazaar, or put a blurb in your signature or profile the way folks do with damaged freebies.  As long as you stick to the Bazaar, don't take any credits for the ARC, and clearly communicate that it is an ARC, you shouldn't get into trouble.

While the death of a good book is a tragedy, I don't think they send you to Hell for that ... anymore :-)

Cheers,

Catt

Here is a perfect thread in the Book Bazaar for your post (http://www.paperbackswap.com/forum/topic.php?t=105364)

You can look at what some of the other folks are doing with their ARCs here.

Tonia, you can offer it as a freebie with or without an order from your shelf.  What is the title?

Thanks Lita -- that's the thread I was looking for, but couldn't find.  I wish they would sticky it.

Thanks for your responses.  The book is called Bloodsworth by Tim Junkin.  It's about a guy that got off of death row because of DNA.

I am gonna try the Book Bazaar.  See if anyone wants it.  I would love to send it out with another book but hey, I really just wanna make sure it goes to a good home.  :-)   (I think I took too many pain pills.  I think I am going looney.)  :-))
