Is it OK to post in Club Members' Thoughts asking if anyone knows of apartments for rent in a specific area? My son applied and was accepted to law school at the last minute. We're thrilled but uneasy because he has to be there for orientation next month, there is no on-campus housing, and he doesn't have a place to stay there yet. |

Nora-- I think if folks want to suggest places to look, or areas of town to avoid, etc, it would be ok. If it crosses the line into advertising (i.e. "Try Schmuck and Schmuck Realtor", etc) it would be a problem. So, you might ask for private replies if that's the kind of info you need. On an unrelated note, the university should also have info on off-campus housing. A local alumni chapter might help too. Congrats on your son making law school! :-) Cheers, Catt

I think that would be fine to post. I did a similar post when I found out we were moving to MD. |

If we have to be subjected to people's daily bodily functions, I would think you can ask for housing suggestions. As Catt says, you may want to ask for some of the more specific answers in PMs. |
