I received a book yesterday and it has some water damage on the top of it. It is not excessive and it does not bother me. But I don't know that I would be comfortable re-posting it. Should I pm the sender and let her know. Like I said it is readable the damage is not great, hardly noticable but if I send it to someone else they might be a little pickier that me.

thanks for any help

June,

I hope you marked the book received with a problem.  Even though it doesn't bother you, the rules clearly state that no water damage is allowed.  PM the sender and let them know about the problem, even if you have no intention of asking for your credit back.  This person needs to be made aware of the problem.  Also, absolutely do not repost this book here.  You can offer it as a freebie, but if you repost, then you'll only be perpetuating the problem.

Hope this helps.

Sandy

I'd send a polite, gently worded PM.  If the damage is that slight, they may simply have not noticed.

No water damage of any kind is allowed--so I'd be a big meanie and mark it received with a problem.  If it didn't bother me, I'd skip the part where I ask for my credit back, but you certainly could ask for it back as water damaged books are not postable.

Please mark the book received with a problem.  Then send a PM to the sender to make sure she's aware of the problem.   It's up to you whether you ask for your credit back or not.

If its water damaged, then let them know and don't repost. If it is very slight, are you sure it is water damage and not just cheap paper meets humidity?

It could be humidity I hadn't thought of that. I just pm'd her and let her know, it might've just been an oversight. I try not to be to anal about things. But she needed to be careful about making sure the books were ok to post. I was nice about it, I also didn't ask for my  credit back. If the damage was worse I probably would have though. Thanks
