Used to, one had to go to the PO to get a change of address kit and snail mail everything. Can this be done online thru USPS now?

Yes, you can do it online. You do have to pay a nominal $1 fee (credit/debit) though which I guess is to deter frivolous or fraudulent changes.

It's a simple admin fee. My daughter in Boston would much rather pay the $1 online than have to hike to the PO, plus she likes knowing it's 'immediatley' in the system.
