Last night I printed a Custom Label/ DC.   When I take this to the Post Office for postage and mailing, do I have to pay anything more for Delivery Confirmation?

Thanks,

Betsy

Yes you pay the site $.27 and then you pay $.18 in postage that will be added to the over all postage of the package.

Chris, thanks for answering.  So, my Post Office will know to charge me the .18 for the scanning?

Hopefully.  If you're going to a good size post office that sees a fair amount of these, they will know what to do.  There are other sites besides PBS that have this type of service.  I went to my home town (pop. 685) PO last weekend they refused to charge me the 18 cents, even though I told them they should.  But, the DC worked fine, and there wasn't any problem on the other end.

You might wanna remind them. I had to bring a print out of the explanation to my post mistress and she called her regional manager too. Eventually we both came to understand it well.

Your welcome for the info.

Update:  I took the books to our Main Post Office in town.  The Post Office Attendant who helped me, had never seen this particular situation before, but when she scanned the DC, it showed on her screen, the charge for the  .18.    She was very nice, and said that she'd learned something new today.   It's all good.
