This is about a book I sent and not one coming to me. I sent a pm to the member wondering if she just forgot to mark it as received. She has not read my message so of course she hasn't responded. I'm willing to bet that she did receive it and forgot to mark as received or whatever. Anyway, I just hate that this may cause me to have my very first "lost" book sent by me. I've done everything I can do. The "lost" date is coming soon, and of course besides having that on my record, I lose my credit. Just venting.

Dang it - maybe it will show up at the last minute. I ve only had a book go missing once and it still urks me that the requestor didnt reply to a pm.  Always made me wonder.   You mention it being "lost" on your record, I wouldnt worry about that.  Its one in how many successful transactions.

Good luck.

Unfortunately sometimes it happens.  If she does receive it she can still mark it from her transaction archive even after the lost date.  And I had one I sent out show up 6 months later.  Have to wonder where that baby had been!

I had it happen recently... with 2 WL books in one package :(  My only "lost-in the-mail" package that was sent by me.

I found it a little "fishy", though, too... We communicated by PM about the "lost" books.  Then, a few days later, the member said she "accidentally" marked one of the books as received and could I return her credit.  Well, I did, because if it wasn't received, well, then it wasn't received.   A few days after that, both books disappeared off her Wish List... hmmm.  Lost?   Coulda happened, but I doubt it :(

A YEAR later?  Good grief!  My record is 4 months, but it was postmarked the same date she marked it mailed.

Just a note -- If the other member hasn't been logging on, she'll be getting e-mails now asking her to log on before the the book goes lost.  If she doesn't, and if the server decides her account isn't active, the server will mark the book "received" instead of "lost" after 26 days.

Also, if she doesn't respond to your inquiry, then after a week has gone by (and after the book has been marked lost), you can contact the Admin Team and tell them she didn't respond to your question about the book.  (Copy and paste your PM.)  They'll look into it for you.
