I had recieved a book with brown liquid damage on the last dozen of pages or so, and a stain on the back cover. I'm on here on my mobile, and after marking the book RWAP I figured I'd be taken to another form page to fill out the problem. Dummy I am, I had to scroll to the right and didn't see that was where I mark the problem, and it remained on the "Good Condition" button.

Is there anyway to change this? Normally I'd click around, but that's near impossible on my dinky phone. If I have to take it as a loss so be it, but as the book took my last credit that'd be a huge bummer. Thank you for any help!

Unfortunately, once marked...it stays that way.

We all make mistakes.  I'm sending you two credits.  I have plenty and I can tell you are disappointed that yours was wasted.  No need to repay - it's a gift.

Cozette- Thank you for your amazing generosity, you didn't need to do that but I'm very grateful. I've been sick all week and you just brightened up the whole thing for me, thank you!! You're awesome. :D In the future I'll just be extraextra careful when marking things. :)

Awww...that's so nice of you, Cozy. heart

That's the lesson to learn from this, Stephanie. Always be careful when marking books received and if you are having problems looking at the pages with your phone, wait until you can get into the site in a desktop, etc. something with more screen real estate. :p

It might also pay to send in Feedback about the problem with the new layout on phone screens. I've seen a few instances where people thought they marked a book received with a problem, but because they didn't see the dropdown to the right it was recorded as received without a problem. With enough Feedback they may want to change the process somehow, maybe so that if the radial for problem is selected it won't record anything until the dropdown is activated.

I could be behind the times, but I don't think that PBS Mobile, which is the app offered by the site, has the possibility of marking a book received.  At least it didn't originally.

The Android and i-phone apps may have that, but they're created and sold by independent parties.  Feedback would still be a good idea, and also letting the app creators know.

I didn't think she was using PBS mobile or an independent app, just using her phone to access the internet to get onto PBS. I've never used any of the apps, I use my phones internet function and sometimes you can't see everything on the screen or pages are formatted a little different for the phone operating systems.

D.G.- That's what I normally do, but I'm bed ridden after a hospital stay and wouldn't have been able to get my laptop to wifi before the time ran out. Just something that happens, I guess. :)

Yes, I'm not using the app, just regular browsing on my phone. PBS actually works pretty well that way, I just need to remember to scroll all over the place in the future!

BTW, people have been so sweet about this- for every less than stellar experience I have here I get immediately reminded how awesome this site is thanks to the books but especially the members. The generous, smart and forgiving of the confused (IE myself) keeps this site amazing. :) Thanks again for the feedback!
