It was ok, I thought there was so much about all the other characters from previous books, it took forever to meet the main characters of this book...
I re-read the other five books before starting this one. I had forgotten how much I liked them.
This starts out with a bang. It's 13 years after Noah, and the whole of Nightwalker society is falling apart. Teenage Leah, the first Demon of Time, feels compelled to alter time by bringing Adam from 400 years ago to the present day.
That part of the book grabbed me and held on. It slipped some from there. I felt that Jasmine gave in a little to easily. The whole of the polt wrapped up without enough conflict.
That said, I still couldn't put it down. This one goes on my keeper shelf with the other five.
An exciting story that finally puts Demon Ruth where she belongs. What a God awful evil bitch! At one point or another, everyone was involved in this story which was nice since it's been three years since the previous installment...Noah. Jacob and Isabella, Noah and Kestra, Elijah and Siena, Damien and Syreena, Ruth and Nicodemus, Kane and Corrine, as well as a Shadowdweller named Windsong and a mysterious female from the future.
And of course, we must not forget yummy Adam and Jasmine, who as a couple I really liked. They are surprisingly similar regardless of demon and vampire origins. Oh the babies they will make. And speaking of babies, it will be interesting to see how Leah, Seth, Asher and whoever else is in the works deal with the future. Of course, there is no Ruth but I'm sure Ms. Frank will create another equally evil enemy for the next generation to defeat. I can't wait!
