Would Prefer Orders Of 2 Or More Please.

I have almost 2,000 books posted on my shelf. I would love to send out bulk orders.

I would love to send lot of books to the same members for credits so that they don't have to wait long and I can save on shipping costs what with the new fees on the site.

This Is Not A 2 For 1 Deal. This is for members who are looking to order a lot of the same author/series/genre from one member.

I go to the post office every Saturday so any orders placed to my shelf will be sent out then. if you are looking for a lot of books by the same author or looking for books by a certain author send me a pm and i'll let you know what I have.  I have lots of series and connected books. I would love to see these books go to homes that want them. take a look at my shelf or send me a pm and let me know what author you are looking for.

Molly, they want a deal where they save credits and you save shipping.

That's what I was looking for Valerie. I know some folks have a lot of credits, I don't. I've had to buy a few times when a wl book was offered to me. I just noticed your signature line, I love Jane Eyre!

I get the benefit of sending multiple books but what's the benefit for the receiver? The sender saves postage but the requester?

The requester , gets deals on books when they may not have too many credits to burn.  ?   There has been many time when I had 1 or 2 credits and people do deals for ( lets say)  2/1  or sometimes 3/1   That's a good deal   yes. When I first joined , the bazaar was full of deals like that now since postage has gone up I'm not seeing it as often.

And the thing is " it does not cost much more to send another book. if their paperback.

Also , I think people are more willing to order if they are getting a deal . I've also hear people say " I'm not getting any orders. maybe offer a deal ?

When peoples book shelfs have books that have multiple copies   ( in the system), like 10+  and PBS works on the FIFO system and none of yours are in the first few spots it will be a long time before you get an order. because of so many copies in the system.

When I buy books from the UBS ,I look for things that dont have many copies here so It will not sit on my shelf for long.  I didn't know this until I'd been here for awhile.    So when I post a book I check to see how many copies are here.

I would rather offer deals than not have any orders at all.

That's what I was saying..if there isn't a deal for the requester what is the benefit? The requester gets the benefit of 1 seller but I don't get it. I get if there's a deal..2/1 but straight up 1 for 1..no benefit for the requester.

benefit is for the requestor is that they don't to waste time going through tons of members shelves to find  multiple books from the same series or the same author. I see so many threads about people asking for books by the same author or series or mini series for harlequins/silhouettes and then complaining because they have to wait for multiple members to reply their requests and then they have to wait for all the different members to send out. I was trying to help out those members who like to order all of the same author or series in bulk to save on the waiting time.

I have gone on the message boards and seen deals where people say they have tons of books that they need to clear out and then go to their shelves and see that they have 20 books or less posted. to me that is not tons of books. I have also had many members say they have deals and they send you 1 book in good condition the rest are unpostable when that had them posted on their shelf which means that they claimed the unpostables they sent met PBS guidelines. not everybody can afford to send out deals. some of us need to save on postage so I am trying to do that. I have 1,400 books posted to my shelf and not all of them are romance books. I have a lot of children's books and mysteries and other genres as well.

No body should have unpostable  books posted to their shelfs, If you do get them you should RWAP. I go through my books very carefully and when in dought , I put them on my unpostable list. Having sent out almost 700 books  I have had only 1 book RWAP , and it was a smoking one ,however they did not have a smoking RC. I did have another ( in a game) said it was RWAP .but I returned that credit.

My # for books mailed is 690 , and I just sent out 12 more so that should be over 700 any day now

We all take the risk in bazaar when we try for the deal. I had that one where out of 9 I was able to salvage 2...unpostable due to taping pages, a bug cocoon in the spine break etc

When I want a series, I throw it on my reminder list order and go from there. It doesn't take much time and I still will get them if I have credits. Plus if I see a bookshelf that has a lot I like, I friend that person. I even have been offered deals..I'll order 3 . Out of the series, and oftentimes if I order 3 or 4, the other person offers a deal...pretty cool!

Having to wait for the books to come in is no biggie..never heard anyone complain about it  unless it isn't marked as received or something.

Anyway, thanks for explaining what a requester might get as a benefit.

Michelle , I would have RWAP   , that's not right .you shouldn't have unpostables on your shelf.

Not on the free ones..so the deal is 5 for 3..You order 3 then th eother 2 are "free" you can't say anything if they're unpostable.

Yes as far as I know that is correct. All my books are postable . I do have an unpostable list in my profile . but if its on my shelf it is postable and every ones should be . even the freebies.        My thinking (if I'm unsure about a small issue) is if in doubt it goes in my unpostable.  I have had people say " when they receive it " whats unpostable about it.

But to your question , I would mention that the freebie are unpostable because nothing posted should be.

To point out something Molly mentioned " some people cant afford to do deals.

I just use 5 books as an example . it costs the same to send 5 books weather its a deal or not. like a 5/2 deal you are still sending 5 books ( your just getting less credits. no matter if you send 5 books for 5 credits.   does that make since?

And if you want a whole series , well you can only read one at a time. so get them as you go.  I personally don't want a whole series ( because I don't know if I'll like it) so I try the first one to see.

By the way there is a benefit for the requestor. If I understand the new system.  If you look under FAQ it says if you order more than one book from one person you only have one transaction fee. For a limited member this would help how many books you get for your free transaction. If you are paying for swaps you can get multiple books for one transaction fee rather than multiple transaction fee. I don't know about alacarte members.  I looked up what if I ordered 2 books from one person and the answer was that there would only be one transaction fee no mater  how many books are in the transaction.  Jean

Guess so....but really on these type things it's for the sender to save money and that's fine, we all need to save money. The benefit of receiving from one person may be good for those who pay a transaction fee. I was thinking on the whole and deals in the book bazaar, etc. More or less thinking out loud ..sorry.
