Is there a way to submit this information if you know the ISBN # and other book information?

Yep, just put the ISBN in the search box at the top right of this page.  If the book is listed at Amazon, odds are that it'll pop right up.  If not, give it 15 minutes or so and search again.

I've also heard of success adding the ISBN to your To Be Read list.  That seems to pull the info into the system as well.

The book isn't listed on Amazon either.  It's a book club edition, but I can't get it to come up anywhere else.  I wanted to add it to my wish list.  I just tried adding it to my TBR pile and it said that it had a valid ISBN # but that it wasn't in the database.

Here is another thing you can do:

1. put your bookshelf on vacation hold
2. post the book to your bookshelf. You will get the "Edit Book Data" screen to enter all the information in yourself (title, author, description, binding, etc) so double-check your spelling :)
3. Delete the book from your bookshelf. It's in the system.
4. Take your bookshelf off vacation hold.
5. Go to the book and WL it.

The vacation hold is just to make sure that no coincidences happen ... like a person comes to find the book just after you post it to your bookshelf before you can remove it.

I've successfully done this myself a couple of times when posting to the TBR list gives that message. A lot of times, posting to the TBR will pull the book in, but it doesn't seem to if the book is from Science Fiction Book Club, for example.

If all else fails, maybe contact the Librarian?  Awhile back, I noticed some inaccurate book info & they very quickly corrected it in the system :-)

Thank you for your suggestions.  I will try posting it to my shelf so that I can get it into the system.  That sounds like it should work.

That worked, Sara.  Thank you so much for the suggestion.  It still doesn't come up in the search along with the paperback, which is also wish listed.

It may take some time to index in the site and become searchable.
