When I search for a title constrained by "SQL -Oracle" I get over 1300 available books to swap - that's great: the "not" is useful and it appears to work - none of the titles have "Oracle" in them.

Since it displays at most 100 at a time, I need to >> to get from one group of titles to the next.

However, the first time I hit >> I get an error because the constraint gets garbled (and appears as a Keyword constraint, no longer as a Title constraint).

thanks - Evan

It works for me. Make sure your URL looks like this:

http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/browser.php?not_k=oracle&or_k[]=&or_k[]=&all_k=sql&or_ti[]=&or_ti[]=&b[]=Paperback&b[]=Hardcover&s_type=a&oby=ASC&l=100&ls=0

Evan, the search worked for me as well.   Perhaps if you use fewer results on the page (I know, PITA) it would work better for you?

perhaps it depends on browser?  I am using Explorer 6.0.  The initial URL generated is:

http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/browser.php?all_k=&not_k=&or_k%5B%5D=&or_k%5B%5D=&phrase_k1=&all_ti=SQL&not_ti=Oracle&or_ti%5B%5D=&or_ti%5B%5D=&phrase_ti1=&a=&i=&bd=&p=&g=0&b%5B%5D=Paperback&b%5B%5D=Audio+Cassette&b%5B%5D=Hardcover&b%5B%5D=Audio+CD&pd=&pd_type=e&r=n&s_type=a&l=100&sby=&oby=ASC&saved_name=

different from that given by Cathy.  Maybe it is less contrained that her query?  Again, mine works - but if I try to refresh results, for instance displaying a different number of results, then it messes up.  Oddly, I am getting only 85 hits to this query now, compared to over 1300 before.

The difference is I put SQL and Oracle in as Keywords. You put them in the Title boxes.

PBS barely supports current IE, let alone the old ones. Any chance you can upgrade to IE8? I know there are areas on the site that IE6 doesn't handle correctly.
