I have been a needlework and craft book collector for over 25 years. I have accumulated literally hundreds of pattern books/booklets/pamphlets/leaflets & periodical-type. I would like to see them go a new home - Yours! eBay has been cruel to me the last few years - too many books and too little time to do needlework! crying

Publishing dates range from the late 1930's through 2000's.  Conditions vary from damaged to new-old stock. Most are upostable due to no ISBN and page limit. I would like to trade for credits & offer damaged or unpostable freebies. As time allows, would it be best to list in this forum, or should I list in my profile? I want to keep quantities per credits that make it fair and affordable for me to ship and within postal guidelines (such as needlwork magazines that I cannot be ship via media mail).

Some of the publishers are as follows: Bernat, Leisure Arts, Annie's Attic, Reynolds, Pinguoin, Fleishers/Bear Brand/Bucillia/Botany, Patons & Baldwins/Beehive, McCall's, Columbia-Minerva, Spinnerin, American Thread Company, JP Coats/Coats & Clark/Spool Cotton Co, etc, etc.

Knitting and Crochet Patterns for Adults, Babies, Children, Personal Accessories, Afghans, Home Accessories, Toys, Dolls/Doll Clothing, etc, etc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'd post this on Craigslist.

I'm always interested in knitting pattern books. Mainly interested right now in afghans & home accessories (& possibly adult knitwear if it is more current)

Check out Cobwebcorner.com.  They'll pay something around 15 - 20 percent of retail price for craft patterns and books.  I've bought from them but never sold to them. Their information page gives details on what they will accept  and how to contact them.

I have seen people list stuff on their bulletin board.  You could do that and refer people from this thread to look there and say you are interested in offering 3 magazines for 1 credit, or something like that.  I collect old cross stitch and needlework patterns and would be interested in what you have.
