Hello everyone . . . I have a book on wishlist and my turn to request it is rolling around . . . I'm fifth in line right now!  Very exciting . . . but, I have a sneaking suspicion that I am going to receive this book for Christmas!  Is there a way I can put ONE book on a vacation hold (or another type of hold) and still keep my entire list up?

I'd hate to 'waste' a credit on a book I am maybe getting for Christmas . . .

Currently fifth in line, and it is expected to be available for me within a week . . .

Thank you for your advice in advance!

Laura

Hey Laura--

I'm another Laura T :)

You can put just one item of your wishlist on hold.  Per the help documents:

  • New feature! You can also put individual items on hold if you are not ready to accept those items when they are offered to you
    • to do this, check the box to the left of the item and click Hold Checked.
    • This will preserve your "place in line" for the book but make the wish INACTIVE
    • Note: items on hold still count toward the 200-item limit on the Wish List.

hey, Laura T . . . thanks!

Goodness, that was too simple. I should have figured that out for myself!

I was 1074 on the list and now that I'm #5, I don't want to completely give it up, ya know!

~whew~

Thanks again!
