I'm a new member, and I have had one member receive their book so far.  There's a problem.  She also received a book from me that she did not order.  She asked me what I would like to do with the book.  I already PM'd the member who was supposed to receive it.  How should this be handled??????

Thanks!

I would ask her to mail it to the other person and buddy her a credit do do so.  that would be the easiest thing to do.  You must have printed out her wrapper twice.  mistakes happen!

I thought about that, but I am hesitant to give someone else's address out.  I suppose if the member who received the book actually relisted it, she would get the same member's address anyway...  Thank you for your thoughts.

It's perfectly acceptable to give the address out for mailing purposes.  I appreciate your concern about the other member's privacy, but we all signed up with the idea that our address would be shared for mailing books.  Leslie's advice is good.  Give her a credit to cover the postage.  Here's a great help doc, which means that lots of us have done the same thing: :-)  I sent a book to the wrong person!

Fantastic!  Thanks!  The member did respond to my message and she's not upset.  She said that I can forward her information.

We all make mistakes and we were all new once!  Don't worry about it, most people are really nice about it and will send the book along for you.  Make sure you buddy them a credit though to cover the extra postage for them to send the book along to the right person.

I think just about every member's sent out the wrong book or mixed books up at some point so you're certainly not alone.
