I received a book from a sender whom forgot to mark the book mailed. I marked the book received in my transaction archive, but in the meantime, my request has bounced to the next person. They've already printed the label, and I cannot cancel the request on my end. What should I do?

The sender needs to use the 'contact us' link and ask TPTB to cancel the transaction. That way her book will stay in the system (if she herslf cancels now it would remove the book from her shelf) and she will retain her place in FIFO.

You can PM them and ask them if they'd be willing to cancel the transaction.  (If they printed postage or applied stamps to the package, they probably won't want to cancel since they'd lose that money.)  Tell them that if they are willing to cancel, rather than hitting the cancel button, they should go down to the bottom right corner of any page.  Under "company" click on "contact us."  They would use the Feedback option to ask the Admin Team to cancel the transaction from your end rather than from the sender's end.  Only the sender can make this request.

Otherwise, if you receive two copies of the book, you are obligated to mark the second one received -- the one that was marked mailed before the deadline.  Marking the first one received, the one that caused the problem, was option, but you've already done that.

Here's more info:

I received 2 copies of the same book!

I assumed the transaction was cancelled since it was in the OP's transaction archive. The sender can't mark the book mailed once it's cancelled.

Best thing would have been to contact the 2nd sender first before marking the book received.  Then if they couldn't or wouldn't cancel, you wouldn't be out 2 credits.  If someone forgets to mark a book mailed and you end up with 2 copies, you only owe a credit to the one who marked the book mailed.
