I read this book in conjunction with a bible study of women in the bible. It was good reading but I do believe the sub-title is a bit over done. It isn't a trashy book but rather one woman's intrepretation of some women in the bible. I did enjoy reading the short stories of Leah, Rachel, Sara, Rebecca, Jezebel and the others who are addressed in the book. Modern day language gave me a good insite as to the lives of women mentioned or discussed in the bible. I consider this book a good read.
