Okay so I finally picked up my copy of To Love and to Cherish by Patricia Gaffney and I think I have just fallen in love with Christy Morrell. What an awesome hero he is!

It's a nice change from the alpha guys. There's something to be said for gentleness and inner strength :)

the hero's name is Christy? for real?

I like a good Beta hero every now and then but mostly alpha - I love Zane Mackenzie and Chance Mackenzie from LInda Howard's Mackenzies..also loved Kenny from Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooters series. there are definitely others - a good beta hero was Carter in Nora Roberts' Vision in White.

I've never really found a beta hero I could "love".   I'm alpha all the way.  smiley

Some beta Heroes I love: Mick from The Proposition, Harry Braxton from As You Desire, Justin Powell from Bridal Favors  - its so great to find a hero who has a good sense of humor and doesn't take himself too seriously. This is one of the things I adore about beta heroes

However I also LOVE a tortured hero:

Some favs: Julian Sinclair from The Duke of Shadows, Christian Langland from Flowers from the Storm, Sheridan Drake from Seize the Fire, Sebastian Ballister from Lord of Scoundrels, Zsadist from Lover Awakened.

Oh, I loved Christy also!  When I read the second book in that trilogy I fell in love with him even more.  The horrible, horrible "hero" of that book made Christy  look even more wonderful.  I've never read the third book, I don't know if Christy appears in that one or not.

Christy is a nickname, his actual name is Christian.  Appropriate, I guess, since he's a vicar.
