I received this book as a gift and just could not get into it. For me, it seemed like a story that was better told in Siddhartha by Herman Hesse. You have to really appreciate a slow, thoughtful, spiritual journey to enjoy this book, and I apparently do not.

This is short, quick read. If you can get into it, that is.

In a nutshell, it is a simplistic (almost fable-like) tale of personal goals, motivation, and what is important in life. Nothing mind-blowing here, and the writing is not anywhere near what I would consider award-winning.

So how has this book received so many awards and so much praise? Good question.
