Lets say I have a wishlist book that is not listed yet. But I also have a book that been unordered on my shelf forever! And I don't want it anymore.

Am I allowed to offer in the Book Bazar the 2 books for 2 credits, but they must be ordered together? (I don't want to do any throw-ins or deals or get less than 1 credit per book.)

Let's say it was The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown (2221 wishers) and Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie (306 copies currently on PBS). Am I allowed to offer the WL book and extra book in the BB for 2 credits?

TIA!

You can post a boxed set that includes some wish listed and some non-wish listed books in the Bazaar, but I don't think you can combine two totally unrelated books and require them to be swapped together.

You would be violating rule #6 of the Book Bazzaar rules (in the red sticky at the top of that forum)

(6) No trying to jump the Wish List "line" by offering or asking for postable Wish Listed books.  Postable Wish Listed books should be posted and swapped "officially".  This of course does not apply to posts advertising an alternate ISBN  (or non-ISBN version) of a Wish Listed title; it is fine to advertise that you have those posted to your bookshelf.

In the genre threads there' s a Is This On your WL thread.  you could try there and see what happens.  I personally wouldn't.  I mean even at the lowest going rate for credits for 2 credits you could put that $5 towards the Dan Brown book-a paperback when it comes out if it hasn't already would only be about $8.  And you wouldn't have to pay a full credit for a heavily posted book. But someone might be.  I year from now the Dan Brown book will probably have over 1,000 copies posted.

But you could do it and see what happens. People post in there whent hey want to send multipleWL books to one person to save on postage.

Such a shame! - nah, I like the rule, keeps things fair by making people offer the books to the first in line. It also makes it so people can't use the Bazaar to require people to order more (and thus pay more) in order to get a wish list book.

Yup.

If  you did what you're suggesting you're pretty much asking for two credits for The Lost Symbol. It's easy to read between those two lines. Between the genre forums, swaps, BB and FIFO I'm quite happy with what I receive and the manner in which I receive it.

But wait, didn't you already make your pitch on here??? That seems to me what you just did. ;(

Plus it won't be so heavily WL for long.  Pretty soon that book will be like The Davinci Code and Angels & Demons with 1,000 of copies in the system and people begging for someone to order the book.  It's why I usually buy the mega sellers when they first come out so I can post it while it's still WL-or I get them from the library.
