This is a pretty good book, and is well-written.
Ii is not the typical true crime book. It does follow a man's descent to crime, his capture and trial, but also his unusual faith and how the Pope became involved.

If you live in or know the Ozarks, you find this especially interesting, as I did. Don't understand getting redemption for killing an innocent cripled kid though.

Interesting book. I wanted to read this book because I have been to Branson, MO a few times and this story takes place around there. Darrell Mease certainly had an interesting life.
