Story of Megan and Ryan and is book #2 in the Matthews Sister series.
Megan is the oldest of the sisters and is a NYPD detective. She's very 'by the book' and when Ryan, a crime photographer, takes her picture while she's taking down a serial killer, she gets dubbed "The Darling Detective" in the media....which she hates. So right off Megan and Ryan's relationship is strained. Megan's sister (Kat - Bit by the Bug, Bk 1) knows Ryan really likes Megan and is 'helping' him get Megan.
This story was so-so to me. Drove me nuts how Megan used Ryan for sex and refused to label what they had. She finally realizes it later on.

For two (supposedly) intelligent people, these two are awfully dumb. They rely on suppositions, misinformation, & miscommunication, which is really dumb. The premise that a police detective would submit to blackmail is just plain nuts, & the rest of the story is just as silly. I know this is just fiction, but could we have just a semblence of reality?
