I have actually read a lot of her books, although none of the recent ones.  I started with Sunlight, Moonlight and then read everything she had out when that book was first published.  It still remains one of my favorite books.  However, I stopped reading her after about 5 books because the stories were all the same, very formulaic.  Granted, some of them were in a loose series, but basically they were all the same book with different names.  Since Shades of Gray, I haven't read anything of hers that I didn't already own.  The older titles are still some of my sentimental favorite books, though.  And they are still on my keeper shelves.  HTH

I am a long time fan of hers. Yes they are formulaic. Sometimes that is nice when you don't really feel like being mentally challenged. I think I have read all of them except the last 3 or 4 (waiting for the next ones before I read them).  I have them all on my keeper shelf!

I have never read a book by her. I know that I started one a million years ago and just couldn't get into it. I think it had something to do with a vampire and a dance but I am not sure. As I said this has been a while ago and she seems to be a favorite among fans of paranormal. I still have her books in mt tbr (mostly old ones....Shades of Gray is probably one of them) I  just never tried another one of them.

I tried about 3, I think, and yes they are formulaic - known in some circles as SLD or "Stephanie Laurens Disease":P  Like Anne said, not mentally challenging.

Hey I just saw that a couple of her Madeline Baker titles are being republished with Cerridwen Press.....at steep prices, too!  Nice covers. Has anyone checke out her page at myspace?  profile.myspace.com/index.cfm  Not sure if that will work.  It has some cool videos for her books on it.

Yes, all the Baker books were Indian romances. I know I read some of them in the 90's.

Yeah, I knew that, but it was one of those easily forgotten things too, since I'm not interested in anything they... er, she is putting out:P  That's actually posted on Baker's page at fantastic fiction too, I think.  Seems like that's where I saw it.

I love reading Amanda Ashley's books...they are such easy quick reads, probably because they are more formulaic.  I've never read Madeline Baker and didn't they the relationship.  Thanks for enlightening me.

I've only read her books as Madeline Hunter.  I loved everything she wrote as Madeline Hunter.  I've never read any of her Amanda Ashley books because even though I love paranormal romance, none of them ever sounded any good to me.

Wrong Madeline.  It's Madeline Baker, the one who wrote all of the native american historicals with the cheesy covers (not to be confused with Cassie Edwards, who did too:P).  Madeline Hunter wrote the Seducer series: The Seducer, The Saint, The Charmer, etc.
