I finished ~Angel Face~ today...( about Amanda Knox and the murder of her roommate in Italy) and now I will read ~Murder in Italy~ and see how they compare.  I LOVE reading two books about the same crime and comparing the authors views.  I really liked ~Angel Face~and thought the author did a good job.  Amanda's parents really dislike the author.  She seemed to be telling a pretty straight forward account of the crime.

I liked both books Heather.  I felt that ~Murder in Italy~ was more a pro-Knox book.  I would have preferred listening to this book..the foreign names drive me nuts after a while.

Facinating to read both of them.    Murder in Italy was definately more pro-Knox and Angel Face more anti-Knox.   Angel Face was a much shorter read.   I liked both of them.  I am curious for others who read both what they think the true story is.   My current theory is that she was there with the boyfriend, very high, and somehow the 2 boys started attacking Meredith while she was in the other room, she heard the screams  (thereby the reference to her saying I heard it and covered my ears).    She went in and did something or other then, maybe completed the kill to get it done with.      However I don't understand why Rudy never implicated either of them.    Wouldn't he have been better off in his trial if he did?

I recently read The Monster of Florence by Douglas Preston.  He's a famous American author and he moved to Italy to write a book and got caught up in local unsolved murders there that took place beginning in the 80s.  The Italian police really botched the investigation and at one point arrested him and a local newspaper writer for the crime!!  They are the exact same police that investigated Amanda Knox's case!  Preston has a chapter in the back of his book and describes was he knows about Amanda's case.  I believe the investigators wanted it solved at all costs and she got caught up in it even though she's completely innocent.

I think she is innocent, I think the first person arrested did it by himself it makes alot more sense than the other senarios they have proposed. The only thing she might be guilty of is a bit of bad judgement after the fact.
