This is a fascinating book about women who made a difference during the Civil War. Some are famous, and others I had not heard of before.

A good book covering many of the women who made names for themselves during the Civil War. While reading it, I tried to see if the author had a bias toward the North or the South, but was unable to do so.
However, I only gave it three stars as articles on some of the women presented some of the old myths that have since been proved false. As the book was copyrighted in 1999, I felt the author should have done a bit more research of the latest findings.
