This is a story about how the moon got in the sky involving Anansi and his six sons.

My son loves this version of of Anansi the Spider A Tale from the Ashanti. Probably because the images are geometrical designs and very colorful. (He loves drawing, and he loves shapes.)

It is a great way to introduce little ones to one of the most well-known tales out of Africa, too!

the pictures are interesting (see cover), but it's not a very interesting story. I read it to my Kindergarten class and they sort of liked it.

The Ashanti myths of Anansi the spider are wise and entertaining. In this picture book Anansi and his sons are introduced with a tale about the origin of the moon. The geometric flavored, six color illustrations are very eye catching and amplify this tale well.
